Fortune Teller Predictions-2013
One of my YOLO items is to do a few different fortune readings: Taro cards, palm, and turkish coffee. I am putting everything she says down on paper and look back 2 years down the road. Both the fortune tellers said all the fortunes they see will happen in 18-24 months. For any of them that has come true, I’ll put an X and an explaination. The first one already came true.
TARO Reading- October 26, 2013
Not that I truly believe in everything that a fortune teller says, but it’s fun to see. Plus being single, it is just fun to see that there is something in the future, but I have to say, she was pretty dead on. One of my friends recommended this person. FYI- I did not answer any of the questions she asked because I wanted to make sure she was not just a mind reader. So the things below are what she said and I’ve included my thoughts too. Overall, I had an extremely good fortune and the next 5 years include so many good changes.
First set of cards- Work
As Rita laid the cards on the table, the first thing she asked me was if I recently had a job review? I did not say anything. She then said that the job review should have gone well and I should have gotten a promotion. I was shocked.
1-Did you have a recent job review and it should have gone well. -Yes, I had it a little over a month ago
2-You should have received a promotion Yes, I did get my annual promotion for such a job well done
3-I will be in the same job type throughout my career. I will not change. -Yes, this is true. It was one of the things I struggled with when I made the choice to become a govee. If I chose to go into the budget field, even if I move into other agencies, it will always be in finance.
4-You will have opportunity to grow in your career and advance in the next 18 months
5-If I want to go to school, I have an open opportunity, but will be perfectly fine if I just keep working as is.
6-I have worked hard all of my life and before now, I did not have much time in my personal life, but now I get to take a break and have more of a balance. -This is very true. I have put in a lot of overtime until now, things are finally getting back to a point where I have a normal 9 hour day.
7-My career is set. As long as I work like I do, I’ll just continue to excel in my job.
Second set of cards- Family and health
1-I have a sister whose life is not altogether. She does not have her life in a good place and my mother is an enabler, but she is also the only person who can stop her from acting outrageous
2-My sister may have something wrong and need counseling
3-My parents at time do not pay enough attention to me because so much of their attention is set on my sister. At times, they do not pay attention to me.
4-I will have to work for the rest of my life even though there are times I want to stay at home.
5-My parent’s health is fine along with the rest of my family.
6-I have good health.
7-Someone old will be very ill and die. It is not anyone in my immediate family, but they are extremely old and the illness is a long one that you will see coming, not a sudden death.
Third set of cards- Love and life
1-You have always worked hard in your schooling and work. Now it has paid off and you are set for life.
2-I have always had a lot of wishes since high school. Many of them will come true in the next 2-3 years.
3-There will be two men in my life that I will have to choose between. I will have to make a decision on who I commit to next year around this time.
4-One man will be fun and more exciting, but cannot provide a good life. The other man will love me more than I can believe and will give me the world, but it may not be instant love, I will grow to love him. 5-When I pick who to be with, I will not be emotional, but rational and because he can provide a good life. If I chose this man, he will trust and love me. He will give me anything. He loves nice things and will give me a very nice life.
6-The first man, I already know. The second man will come into the picture, but I have seen or heard of him before. Maybe a friend’s brother, friend, we briefly met at a party, etc…
7-The man is very hardworking and may sometimes not always be available. Eventually he will own some type of business.
8-Money will never be a problem in life. I will always live a very comfortable life.
9-She said she saw me living in a big house, with a nice car, and just very happy.
10-She sees a child in the next 3 years. She said everything will happen very quickly. This is the only time I did ask a question, I said, “ok, but a marriage before, right?” She said, it may be a child and a marriage. I hope this one does not come true, ever.
Other random cards
1-Dad. My mother was not his first love, but his true love. His parents were very far away and passed away. He was separated from them because of situations. She said, he is saddened by not being able to reconnect. -Very true. My dad was not close to his dad because of family situations.
2-Past Love. This was one of the craziest ones that I thought. I asked her one question, can you see if everyone in my life will be happy? I pulled a card; it was “the hermit.” She said, you’ll be very happy, but not everyone will be. 3-She told me, you have a very strong connection to a past love. She paused and said he left you for another woman. He is a liar. Do not believe what he says. He is messed up in the head right now. Two years is his limit. He was with you for 2 years, he will be with this girl for two years, but even though they live together and she said they may be married, it will not work out. He cannot commit, he cannot stay faithful. (2 years with me, 2 months with this girl, but maybe it means the relationship will be 2 years). The new relationship is not going well. He loves the girl more than she loves him. He is angry and upset over that. Her heart belongs elsewhere and so he will reach back out to you, if you let him. Cut all ties. They are all lies. He will tell you things like, he loves you, he always loved you, and he will leave her for you. (FYI- Crazy because not the leaving part because I’m sure he’s still with her, but 2 weeks ago, he did say he loved me for two years and still loves me and…I almost believed.)
3-Girlfriends. Until the time comes for the man to come into my life, I’ll make a lot of good friends and a very good group of girlfriends that we go out and do house parties a lot. She sees 3-4 of these girls at all times.
TURKISH COFFEE READING- September 29, 2013
This has been on my list of things to do before I die. I’ve always been intrigued. Sanam told me she is super scared to find out her future.
First off, the Turkish Festival was great, but they do not take credit cards. Luckily my co-worker had $15 and I paid $5 in change…Yes, change. Beth told me I’d be screwed if there was an apocalypse.
I am probably the most horrible person to have their fortune told. I’m the person, who is like, wait…but…um????
Here are the steps before getting your fortune read:
- Sit down and someone gives you a cup of Turkish Coffee
- Drink your coffee, but leave a little bit of coffee at the bottom
- Put the plate on top and flip it over
- Wait about 10-15 minutes until the coffee grind settle
- Rotate your cup in a circle 7 times from right to left and make a wish.
Here are her predictions:
- For my wish: It will take time, 2 years to get everything you want in your wish.
- There was a woman in your life that took someone from you, she was not friendly. She pretended to be a friend. She became an obstacle in your progress.
- That I am very pessimistic right now and need to let go of all the negative anger and I’ll have a clear path to what I want.
- She said someone that starts with a T, like Tony or Tom will help me move on to find true love. Take his help.
- You will have the opportunity to go overseas for 5 months and take it. She sees a clean path. Beth and I looked at her and said, are you sure not 5 days? She said, no…she absolutely sees 5 months. I told the fortune teller she needs to talk to my boss because I don’t think that’s possible.
- You will find love overseas. She sees a wonderful man over there. I told her to take a look again to see if there is someone in the US, closer. She said, I don’t, only overseas. FML…seriously? No one in the US?
- I am very slow in life. Slow in my career, goals in life, and love. She says I need to speed things up, be more agile.
- I am moving like a turtle on a long project with another man at work, but eventually we will be successful.
- She sees lots of mountains that nothing will be easy in my life for 2 years, but everything will be great after.
